There are many different choices available when building your scale and we've included three of the most popular options above as packages. These options include the addition of wheel kits to make them easily transportable to the type of indicator readout preferred.
Indicator Choices: Display or Meter

This versatile display has three functions that are accessed by pressing and holding the blue unit button for one (1) second:
- AAF (Animal Average Function): This is the default setting. AAF detects the presence of an animal on the scale and then collects weight data over five (5) seconds. The data is filtered and averaged, and the average weight is displayed. To re-weigh an animal while on the scale, press the red Power/Tare button while the previous average weight is shown on the display. After unloading the animal, press the red Power/Tare button to reset the display for the next animal.
- dIr (Direct Readout): This setting reads the direct weight of the display.
- SCr (Scaled Readout): This setting provides an instant readout for weighing with the scale.
Please note that the display requires (2) AAA batteries that are not included.
The High-Performance Digital Meter with an RS-232 port
The E500R comes with a standard RS232 port that lets you send weights electronically to your computer database or to other digital recording devices that accept the input from the RS232 cable connection.
Osborne will also offer engineering and programming services to help you set it up. You’ll get true plug-and-play convenience with the optional, economical ACCULINK™ Software Package. It even includes the cable you need to transfer weights directly from the indicator to your PC for spreadsheets, reports, and graphs. Measures to the 1/10th of a pound!
