Cattle Guard Specifications
This is a 10' long cattle guard with an HS-20 rating of 16 tons per axle. The flat top-rail cattle guards provide a smoother ride to vehicles than the traditional round-rail cattle guards and are finished in a powder coating for longevity. They are available with optional hinged, clean-out sections that make cleaning the area underneath a breeze, and can ship with precast foundations so you don't have to pour your footers. We can ship precast concrete footings designed to match the grids for a simple and smooth installation that eliminates the need to pour concrete on your site. The foundations have J-bolts set in them, so attaching the steel for a secure crossing is easy and straightforward - no drilling or pouring in the field!

Precast Concrete Foundations for Cattle Guard Installations
Pouring your own cattle guard foundations can be inconvenient, difficult, and labor-intensive. These flat-top rail guards are available to ship with custom, pre-fit footings! They can be unloaded directly onto the ground and come complete with installed J-bolts for mounting. The guard has pre-drilled holes in the bottom to match directly to the bolts. They provide a secure connection and eliminate any movement over the years.
Wings for cattle guards
Cattle guard wings complete the connection from the grid to the fence line. Without them, cows could simply step around where the fence post terminates the line at the crossing and bypass the deterrent altogether. The end is composed of two pieces: the triangular section known as the wing and the post that holds the wing upright. Below is a picture of a complete set working together.
