Cattle Gate – Durable 16 Gauge Steel Livestock Gate
Constructed from heavy-duty 16-gauge steel and sturdy 2" diameter pipe, the Cattleman's Gate offers unmatched strength and reliability for your livestock needs. Each tube is precision cut and fully welded with a 360-degree weld to ensure maximum durability and long-lasting performance.
Designed with animal safety in mind, this gate features six horizontal bars with a square top and rails spaced closer at the bottom to prevent injury. It includes a secure t-slot chain locking latch and an extra-long 48" chain for added security and convenience.
The gate stands 52" tall and fits multiple lengths, with actual dimensions adjusted 5.5" shorter than stated to accommodate hinge hardware. A baked-on powder coat finish protects against rust and weathering, ensuring your gate stays strong and attractive season after season.

Sioux Steel now has the Hi-Qual line of Hi-Country Gates and they are high-quality, working gates for almost every farm and ranching application. Durability and strength are achieved with notched horizontal and center verticals. Every tube is cut and tailored for a perfectly fitted connection before it’s given a permanent, 360° weld. The square corners provide additional safety for livestock and the narrower rail spacing at the bottom creates more secure confinement for smaller animals as well. The hinges are extra heavy-duty as is the longer and larger latching and locking chain. These gates are designed for heavy use with cattle as seen in bullpens, feed lots, sale barns, and heavy confinement areas.

Description of the heavy-duty gate lineup
Here is the heavy-duty gate we call the Cattleman's Gate. This gate is 52 inches high from the top to the bottom so you get a little extra height over the heavy-duty gate. It's also six rails versus five rails we have the same rail and we have the same rail spacing top between the top three rails as you see on the heavy-duty gate, but then you'll notice that the spacing gets tighter down at the bottom of this gate. That's to give people a better application if you have calves and small livestock that the heavy-duty gate may not apply to. The cattleman's gate is constructed out of 1017 high-tensile, high-carbon steel just like the rest of the line, and it again is 2", 16 gauge construction throughout and has the same hinges as we saw earlier on the heavy-duty gate as well as the same chain latch. The cattleman's gate is also available with an optional piston latch that you'll see later in our PG Fours and our frame gates.
Finally, I'd like to talk about the Hi-Qual Super Six Gates. The top-of-the-line gate in our lineup is the heaviest gate made in the industry. This gate is for high-use, heavy-duty applications, I'm talking about feedlots, I'm talking about dairies I'm talking about Buffalo. This gate is constructed out of 2", 14 gauge, 1017 high-tensile, high-carbon steel and you can see that it's a six rail gate, it measures 60 inches from top to bottom and you have added height and added strength because of the added gauge with material that we make this gate out of. Again, we see the same heavy-duty chain latch, and to continue with making a balanced product for the application, we've taken schedule-40 tubing that is welded on top of the 14 gauge end post and incorporated it into this heavy-duty hinge. What's nice about this hinge, is that we've got a role pin we can pull and take that gate off the hinge and out of the opening for easy cleaning up feedlots of dairies, again for that type of application.
