General Duty Gate Description
This gate, as the name implies is designed for general duty use which is for light to medium duty confinement of livestock. It's constructed out of 1-1/2" 16 gauge, 1017 high-carbon. high-tensile steel. The five rail gate is 48 inches tall and comes with the same chain latch and latch plate that's also included on the Combo Gate. Something I'd like to point out that we also added to our latch plate is this hole. It's ideal for locking the gate if we would put a padlock right here, now that gate is lockable. It also helps if you have cattle rubbing or licking, or horses rubbing or licking because it helps keep that gate securely latched and won't allow the chain to swing freely and loosely.
Something else I haven't mentioned yet is the rubber caps that we use on all our gates and panels for safety. We don't want any sharp edges here so we finish everything off with a nice rubber cap.
